Our School delivers a dynamic educational program that encourages each student to achieve her or his highest potential. While Green Valley is a National School, the international setting and a multi natured community comprising of NRI and overseas students, brings together a community of students who have varied experiences to learn in a rich and unique environment based on values and principles.

Our History

Green Valley National School, Est. in year 2001, is a school with a difference poised to take on fresh challenges, leading the way to a better future and setting new standards in the field of education.
The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) Board, New Delhi vide letter No KA 105/2004 dated 13th Dec 2004. At present the school has classes from LKG to II PUC.
This institution is owned and managed by Shiroor Welfare Trust® (Charitable Organisation). The Locale epitomize beauty, surrounded by hills full of verdure and is located on the picturesque Karavalli Coast of the Arabian Sea, situated in the beautiful valley at Shiroor, Karnataka.
GVNS is a vast, scenic expanse of ten acres, is away from the din and pollution of the cities and town, the clean air and the salubrious coastal breeze serve to keep students at the peak of health. Amidst this natural setting is an elegant, aesthetically designed structure surrounded by garden and playground. Academic pursuit becomes a joyful experience in GVNS which enjoys nature’s bounty while enhancing knowledge.
GVNS has excellent transport network by Road Rail and Air. As Shiroor is on the National Highway No 66, major towns like Goa, Karwar, Udupi, Mangalore and Bangalore are well connected. The nearest Railway Junction is Bhatkal town which is 14 km away and the nearest Air port is Mangalore which is 125 km from Shiroor. A car drive from Mangalore or Goa is an unforgettable experience as roads dip, rise, loop and curve around lovely Western Ghats on one side and beautiful Arabian Sea Coast on the other side.
Aims & Objectives

To establish, run and manage solely for educational purpose and not for the profits. To devise means for disseminating education and to promote the study of all languages, culture and heritage, to propagate literary and cultural arts, modern technology and offer a wide range of specializations.
- To encourage students to excel by recognizing and valuing their individual needs and talents and encouraging their confidence and self-esteem.
- To develop the personal qualities in students, of courtesy, good manners and honesty.
- To inculcate the awareness towards the needy and helps serve humanity with a touch of Indian culture and tradition.
- To set them apart to appreciate the greatness in doing little things with available resources.
- To have a positive, holistic approach in their dealings and above all to be honest and straight in their dealings.
